Este grupo es una leyenda de la historia del Heavy Metal a nivel mundial.
La mítica banda de Solingen (Alemania),fue formada con el nombre de Band X en 1968,por el cantante Udo Dirkschneider (6 Abr,1952),y el guitarrista y más tarde muy famoso productor Michael Wagener.
En 1976,oficialmente se forma Accept,cuando Udo Dirkschneider se une al guitarrista Wolf Hoffmann (10 Dic,1959) (el cuál también es fotografo profesional) y al bajista Peter Baltes (4 Abr,1958),los dos únicos miembros originales que todavia hoy,siguen en la banda.
La actual formación,a parte de Hoffmann y Baltes,la completan Herman Frank (ex-Sinner,Victory)(guitarras desde 1982 a 1984,2005,y desde 2009 hasta ahora),Stefan Schwarzmann (ex-Krokus,ex-Running Wild)(bateria desde 1994 a 1995,2005,y desde 2009 hasta ahora),y el Americano Mark Tornillo (cantante desde 2009 hasta ahora).
La banda estuvo activa desde 1976 hasta 1989,pararon y volvieron desde 1992 a 1997. Después en 2005 se reunieron por unos meses,y no fue hasta 2009,que vuelven a la actividad hasta la actualidad.
Han sufrido muchos cambios de formación,pasando por la banda musicos como el propio Udo Dirkschneider desde 1976 a 1987,desde 1992 a 1997,y en 2005. El bateria Stefan Kaufmann (ex-UDO) desde 1980 a 1989,y de 1992 a 1994. El cantante David Reece (Malice,Gypsy Rose) de 1988 a 1989,el cuál grabó un LP,"Eat The Heat" en 1989. O el bateria Michael Cartellone (Lynyrd Skynyrd,ex-Damn Yankees) de 1995 a 1997,entre otros...

Han grabado en su carrera catorce discos oficiales,cinco EPs y numerosas compilaciones.
En 1981 sacan su tercer LP llamado "Breaker",firman contrato con su manager de toda la vida,Gaby Hauke y salen de gira con Judas Priest...ahi comienza a despegar su exitosa carrera.
En sus inicios,con su típica velocidad en algunas de sus canciones,marcaron lo que después se denominaría Speed Metal. Aunque a ellos siempre se les encasilló dentro del Heavy Metal.
En 1984 tocaron en el festival Monsters Of Rock de Donington (Inglaterra),con AC/DC,Van Halen,Ozzy,etc...
A finales de los '80,las extensas giras y el creciente interés por permanecer más tiempo en Estados Unidos por parte de Hoffmann y Baltes,empezó a distanciar al grupo.
Trás tres años de parón,en 1992 se reunen de nuevo y graban tres discos de estudio. Pero en 1997 se separan otra vez.
Permanecen inactivos hasta finales del 2009,cuando vuelven con la actual formación.
Acaban de sacar su tercer álbum desde entonces,"Blind Rage" 2014.
Mark Tornillo les ha dado el empuje que necesitaban,y su vuelta ha sido un éxito y muy celebrada.

This group is a legend in the history of Heavy Metal at mundial level.
The legendary band from Spolingen (Germany),was formed iwth the name of Band X in 1968,by the singer Udo Dirkschneider (Apr 6th,1952),and the guitarrist and later very famous producer Michael Wagener.
In 1976,was officially formed Accept,when Udo Dirkschneider joins to the guitarrist Wolf Hoffmann (Dec 10th,1959) (which is also a profesional photographer) and the bassist Peter Baltes (Apr 4th,1958),the only two original members who yet today,are still in the band.
The current line up,aside of Hoffmann and Baltes,is completed by Herman Frank (ex-Sinner,Victory)(guitarrist from 1982 to 1984,2005,and from 2009 to present),Stefan Schwarzmann (ex-Krokus,ex-Runing Wild) (drummer from 1994 to 1995,2005,and from 2009 to present) and the American Mark Tornillo (singer from 2009 to present).
The band was active from 1976 to 1989,they split up and returned from 1992 to 1997. Later in 2005,they reunited for a few months,and it was not until 2009,that they returned to the activity to the present.
They have undergone many line up changes,passing by the band musicians as the own Udo Dirkschneider from 1976 to 1989,from 1992 to 1997 and in 2005. The drummer Stefan Kaufmann (ex-UDO) from 1980 to 1989,and from 1992 to 1994. The singer David Reece (Malice,Gypsy Rose) from 1988 to 1989,which recorded and LP "Eat The Heat" in 1989. Or the drummer Michael Cartellone (Lynyrd Skynyrd,ex-Damn Yankees) from 1995 to 1997,between others...

They have recorded in their career fourteen official studio albums,five EP's and many compilations.
In 1981 they released their third studio album called "Breaker",they signed with their manager of all their career Gaby Hauke,and out on tour with Judas Priest...there it begins to take off their successful career.
In their beginnings,with its typical speed in some of their songs,they marked what would be later be called Speed Metal. Although always typecast to them within the Heavy Metal.
In 1984 they played at the Monster Of Rock festival of Donington (England),with AC/DC,Van Halen,Ozzy,etc...
At the end of '80s,the extensive tours and the increased interest by staying longer in the United States,by Hoffmann and Baltes,began to alienate the group.
After three years of hiatus,in 1992 they meet again and recorded three studio albums. But in 1997 they split up again.
They have just released their third album since then,"Blind Rage" 2014.
They remain incative until late 2009,when they return with the current line up.
Mark Tornillo has given them the push they needed,and their return has been a success and very celebrated.
