Killswitch Engage se formaron en 1999 en Westfield,Massachussets (Estados Unidos).
Esta banda tocan MetalCore y están fichados por Roadrunner Records.
"Disarm The Descent" de 2013 " fue su sexto álbum de estudio.
Son considerados como unos de los fundadores del estilo MetalCore,y han vendido más de un millon de discos en su carrera en Estados Unidos.
El guitarrista Adam Dutkiewicz ha sido el productor de grupos como As I Lay Dying,Shadows Fall,Unearth,All That Remains o Norma Jean,además de todos los discos de Killswitch Engage.
El bajista Mike D'Antonio tiene un estudio de diseño. Ha hecho diseños de portadas para grupos como Unearth,All That Remains,Heaven Shall Burn o Caliban. También para el festival Hellfest USA.
